ℹ️ A few impressions from behind the scenes of our live concert with the percussionists of the @munich_philharmonic It was an intensive rehearsal phase in which everyone involved had to develop and learn new approaches and additional tasks that a #binaural live #concert entails. This also included the pre-produced binaural video pieces, which were shown between the #liveperformance . We developed a #dramaturgy to slowly lead the audience out of their #stereo listening habits into a #spatial sound field. Here the program evolved from basic mechanisms to complex tonal processes over time. A few impressions from lab sessions. With the Munich ensemble @der_gelbe_klang , we tried our various ideas for a new music stage format, which took on almost installation-like proportions. Here we try to direct or muffle sounds in a targeted way in order to create different spaces, even in small rehearsal rooms, contrary to the given circumstances. These unusual stagings make it possible to hear pieces of music played live in combination with a tried and tested choreography in a completely different way. Once again, we use the @dpa_microphones 4560 #binaural microphone to transmit the sound to the headphones of the audience and, in this case, the conductor, in order to adapt their perception to the binaural performance.
